Special Media: The Queen: Special Publication #1: Holy Communion

After weeks away from our parishes, and only able to make a Spiritual Communion with the Lord, we are now once again able to attend and participate in Mass and receive the Eucharist. Christians can rejoice once again as we can receive the Lord through Holy Communion!
It is only fitting, therefore, that the Queen of All Hearts and the QoAH’s website celebrate this occasion with a Special Publication on Holy Communion entitled: In Communion With Christ.

The first Spiritual Insight is an audio that was recorded on the Feast Day of St. Louis de Montfort entitled: I Take You … (Blessed Mother) … As My Own. The audio first discusses a special passage from the Gospel of John. So what does this have to do with Holy Communion you may rightfully ask? Fr. de Montfort outlines the process for how all Christians, especially Queen of All Hearts’ members, should receive Holy Communion…in union with Mary. Entrusting Our Lady in everything. To submit ourselves, in humility to her, who knows the Lord the best. To surrender himself and to take her (Our Lady) for our own. All Queen of All Hearts’ members should listen to this audio and follow the lesson it communicates on how best to honor the Lord in receiving Holy Communion.

The second media is entitled: I Am The Bread of Life. As we anticipate receiving the Lord, meditate on what The Bread of Life actually is for all Christians in this brief Homily.

The third media is a four-minute audio which examines Hymn #128 from The Hymns of St. Louis de Montfort. Fr. de Montfort wrote a hymn honoring the Blessed Sacrament for each day of the week. So it also fitting to hear Fr. de Montfort’s hymn on the Blessed Sacrament. This media covers the Blessed Sacrament Hymn for Sunday.

As part of the recent The Queen Publications, an ongoing series is presented entitled: Consecration Aids. We jump ahead in the series and present three articles discussing Holy Communion. The first of the Consecration Aids discusses what QoAH members should do and say before they receive the Blessed Sacrament. Read more in: Live the Mass!

The next article is entitled: Preparing for Jesus With Mary at Holy Communion. Fr. de Montfort outlines the preparation steps within this article. “Finally – and this, to my mind, is the peak of self-lessness and delicacy – de Montfort would have me tell Mary that I am making not only a present of myself to her, but that I am also going to give her the greatest gift God can give, His own divine Son. Yes, I am going to give Jesus back to Mary! with the same unselfishness with which she gave me Christ at Bethlehem, I will give Him back to her in Holy Communion.”

The last of the articles is entitled: Thanking the King After Holy Communion! “My first impulse on receiving Christ into my heart used to be to hug Him to myself and to myself alone, to the point of forgetting the whole world around, below and above me . . . To this … St. Louis de Montfort answers: nix!.” Read this short article describing the way St. Louis de Montfort suggests we thank Jesus After Holy Communion!

St. Louis de Montfort, as part of his concluding prayers, includes: Praised, adored and loved be Jesus in the most Holy Sacrament of the altar. Amen.

We pray these Spiritual Media aid us all in preparing, honoring and thanking Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament of Holy Communion. We also pray we continue every day to hunger for Jesus and receive Him through this Blessed Sacrament.
