The Spirituality of St. Louis de Montfort Produces the Biography of the Saint
When we speak of the lives of the saints, regularly we speak of the works of the saints, or the events within their life, or their prayers or hymns.
That is fine, but in doing so, it is incomplete.
In speaking about the saints, we think of the saint who produced a spirituality. For example, for Saint Louis de Montfort, we read his books and spiritual treasures. He composed these writings, and he left them to us. The implication is the life of the saint produced the spirituality. This is not un-true, but it is a half-truth.
