St. Joseph Welcomes The Lord into His Heart Through Mary

Fr. Hugh Gillespie, SMM

St. Joseph Welcomes The Lord into His Heart Through Mary

The Homily initially focuses on the prophet Isaiah.

On the Fourth Sunday of Advent, we hear of the sign of the One to come (740+ years before His birth). We hear that Mary is THE VIRGIN who is to also be the sign from God. Again, we hear this from the prophet over 700 years before His birth.

In today’s Gospel we hear about St. Joseph. He knows that Mary is with child and decides to divorce her quietly. An angel from Heaven approaches Joseph in a dream telling him not to be afraid to take Mary as his wife.

Joseph opens his door . . . he opens his heart . . . to the Lord through Mary. He takes Mary as his wife. He welcomes the Lord into his heart through Mary. Every member of The Association of Mary, Queen of All Hearts . . . every one who follows the Montfortian Spirituality . . . everyone who visits the Marian Shrine, Dedicated to Mary, Queen of All Hearts . . . must also do the same.

Hear more about St. Joseph . . . hear more about welcoming the Lord into your own heart. Listen to this brief Meditation Media.
