Jesus’ Mind and Heart Works Different Than Ours . . . Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Father Hugh Gillespie, SMM

Jesus’ Mind and Heart Works Different Than Ours

How   different the mind and heart of Jesus is compared to our own!

Today’s Gospel is about the lost sheep. A single lost sheep. There are ninety-nine other sheep that Jesus leaves. Why? We certainly, most of us, would rather lose one sheep than jeopardize the flock of 99. Yet, Jesus says who among us would not go after the lost sheep. Wait. What is Jesus telling us!

Today is the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Understand what we are really celebrating on this day. It is a day of celebrating the Lord’s love for us, as well as a day in which we pray for atonement. Love and atonement. Hear what we are celebrating on this day of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Also on this day, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Pro-Life. That is very important. But there is also a deep woundedness in life today. What are we doing about that? Hear more about this in the Homily.

Listen to what it is we are celebrating in this Meditation Media.
