Hypocrisy of the Heart
The Gospel has a special tone today.
Its focus is on the hypocrisy of the heart… not of the unbeliever, but of the believer. The Lord reserves His stern words for this condition.
St. Louis de Montfort, in his Treatise of True Devotion, he speaks about if we are going to have a devotion to Mary, we need to get it right. He writes about seven false devotions to Mary, so that we all do not fall into a trap. Its possible that a heart devoted to Mary, could actually be bad for seven reasons. The last of these seven false devotions is called: Hypocritical Devotion to Mary. Hear what this is and how it relates to the Gospel and what Jesus teaches us!
