J esus: THE LAMB They Slain

THE LAMB: One of the least understood titles of Our Lord.

While we hear these words often, but the title THE LAMB They Slain is not so well known.

St. John the Baptist sees Our Lord and states: “Behold the Lamb of God” (Ecce Agnus Dei). Jesus is not like any other Lamb. He is not like any other man. He is not like any other Teacher. The words THE LAMB are unique to Jesus. It applies ONLY to Jesus.

But what does the words THE LAMB mean? What does the title THE LAMB They Slain mean? While we can check what some learned theologists say on the subject, this Spiritual Insight references what scripture tells us about this title. The conference walks through several Gospel and Bible passages (St. John’s Gospel, Isaiah, St. Peter’s Letter, The Book of Revelation). We take the journey through scripture to see what The Word tells us.

The pictures you see are referenced in the conference. We will also find out what Washing with the Blood of the Lamb means.

With this new found knowledge, the Spiritual Insight concludes with how we should use this information and context when we celebrate the Mass.

“Blessed are they that are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb”. Listen to this Spiritual Insight and you’ll appreciate the Holy Sacrament even more.
