What Does the Catholic Church ask us to do in the Month of October?

In the Catholic tradition we mark the month of October as the Month of the Holy Rosary. And in doing so, the Church also marks this month in a beautiful way as the Month of the Mysteries of Jesus. It is not enough to just know what this month is according to Catholic tradition, if we do not pray the Holy Rosary. The Church explicitly calls upon all of us to make it a point to pray the Holy Rosary.
Pause: Think How to Say the Rosary Effectively!
For those that pray the Holy Rosary, you are asked by the Church to pause, and think about ways one might be able to say these prayers more effectively. Is there a way to meditate on Jesus and do so more fully? For those of us that might not say the Holy Rosary, the Church is asking us to pick up the rosary and say these prayers, if not daily, at least once per week. But make it a point to engage the rosary and to engage the Mysteries of Jesus.
The Holy Rosary Helps Us Obtain Grace from God
Fr. de Montfort teaches us the Holy Rosary is a beautiful and powerful expression of devotion. The Holy Rosary helps us obtain grace from God. Fr. de Montfort also states we should have a special intention when we say the Holy Rosary. It is good to have the special intentions. However, we must make sure we understand in saying these prayers that our focus is not on our intensions. We must not meditate on our intentions. After we voice our intensions to God, we must meditate and focus on the purpose of the Holy Rosary, the Mysteries of Our Lord.
The greatest way to say the Rosary therefore, is to name a special intention, give it to the Lord. We then lay it aside, so that one can focus on the Mysteries of Jesus. In saying the Rosary, we call upon Our Lady, and ask her to shape us. To shape our hearts by each Mystery. We ask for the virtues of these Mysteries to come into our heart. To then lay aside my desire for the greater desire of the life of Jesus Christ.
