The Queen on its First Anniversary

W ith this issue, The Queen enters its 2nd year of Marian publication. The Queen brings to social media content from The Queen of All Hearts Magazine that was published from 1950 through 2006. It also publishes new content. The sole purpose of The Queen is to explain in a simple, popular language the role God has assigned to Mary in His plan of Redemption: her privileges and power, but most especially her rights over our souls.
It is universally believed among Catholics that Mary is our Spiritual Mother and Our Queen. We take great pride in being called Children of Mary. More often than not, however, Mary’s queenly privilege and function is not adverted to; her rights over our souls are ignored and, consequently, Mary cannot exercise properly and fully her maternal rights over us.
Our aim, therefore, will be to bring Mary into the daily lives of our readers, or rather, to prove to them that she is already there: in their homes, in their schools, in the offices, in their shops, in their fields, etc. … because God himself has placed her there, at the very fountain-head of our spiritual life. Once they have understood that Mary is there perpetually, at the source of their soul-life, then they will realize that they must depend on her for all things, then they will submit themselves to her queenly and motherly influence . . .
To proclaim Mary’s queenship to the whole world as a means of bringing about the Kingship Of Christ (Thy Kingdom Come!), such is therefore our first objective. But as knowledge of Mary spells love – for we cannot conceive of anyone not loving Mary, God’s masterpiece, after knowing her – we shall have attained our second objective which is: to make Mary better loved.
The policy of The Queen will be to spur you on to serve Our Lady out of love for her and not just out of fear of an enemy. St. Louis de Montfort tells us that the true slave of Mary ‘does not love Mary just because she obtains favors for him, or because he hopes she will, but solely because she is so worthy of love.’ (T.D. #110).
Our principal guide is none other than St. Louis Marie de Montfort. With him we shall explore methodically, step by step, issue after issue, some phase or other of Mary’s rights and privileges drawing from each our own corresponding duties and obligations . . .
It shall be our earnest endeavor to serve our readers with what is best in the traditional schools of Mariology, as well as what is to be found in the lives and well-springs of the great Marian Saints and writers . . . from whom, as from some eternal font of life, we shall draw living practical application for our own lives.
