New Multimedia Web Section

Blessed …. are those who understand these eternal truths, … for they will shine in heaven like stars for all eternity (St. Louis de Montfort LEW 153)

As Fr. Hugh Gillespie, SMM previously announced, it is with great pleasure that we reveal a new multimedia section on the Queen of All Hearts’ website. The multimedia video and audio may be streamed (played) on any of your computers, laptops, iPads, smart TVs or smartphones. No other equipment is needed, and the audio and video treasures may be freely viewed/listened to as often as you would like. It is our desire that you make use of this material to help you grow in your own Spirituality, and therefore, the community of Montfort Priests (SMM) are making these materials and tools available for free twenty-four hours a day.

As many of you know, Fr. Hugh, is the National Moderator for The Association of Mary, Queen of All Hearts. He, and many of the Montfort Priests, preach at missions, retreat days and conferences all over the world, including throughout the United States. Their preaching is based upon the teachings of St. Louis de Montfort. Many of these conferences and talks are taped, and as a result, QoAH is now making this spiritual media available to you.

There will be four areas within this new multimedia section. The first is Spiritual Insights – which are discussions on focused topics that will help us all in our Spiritual Prayer Life. The second area is the Conference Audio section. This section has multiple audios and focuses on one retreat topic (such as The Secret of the Holy Rosary) at a time. More will be added to this section shortly. The third section is the Video section.

SI #1
What is the difference between Consecration and St. Louis de Montfort’s Total Consecration?

Description: Many people when they are considering Total Consecration ponder this question. Indeed, after making an Act of Total Consecration, members are faced with explaining the topic to non-members. In this audio the differences are reviewed at the Montfort Spiritual Center in a recent Retreat entitled: Total Consecration Renewal.

SI #2
What is the Importance of Total Consecration Renewal?

Description: St. Louis de Montfort believed that Perfect Devotion to Our Lady was one in the same thing as the Perfection of the Christian Spiritual Life, because of the radical identification with Jesus that this produces within us. St. Louis de Montfort tells us of the importance of Consecration Renewal, on the anniversary of making one’s Act of Total Consecration, and even every day. Why is this important and what does it lead to in one’s spiritual life? This audio addresses this topic at the Montfort Spiritual Center in a recent Retreat entitled: Total Consecration Renewal.

SI #3
What are Consecration Renewal Strategies?

Description: What are the strategies and mechanics for Consecration Renewal? At a recent Consecration Renewal Conference, it was highlighted there is a way to put the core pieces of spirituality together. If one masters this process of Consecration Renewal, it is possible to master the essential elements of spirituality.

SI #4
How do we Prepare for Prayer?

Description: At a recent Secret of the Rosary Retreat Day, held in Alabama, this conference teaches us that many Catholics do not prepare for prayer as they should. Fr Hugh addresses this topic and outlines how we all should prepare for our spiritual prayer life.

SI #5
How do we Reflect on the Mysteries?

Description: In the “How Do We Prepare for Prayer?“ Spiritual Insight, the focus is on Prayer and How to Prepare to Pray. That audio reviews the required and optional components of the Rosary . Within the discussion, it was stated that reflection on the Mysteries is a required part of the Rosary. But how does one reflect and meditate on the Mysteries?

At a recent Secret of the Rosary Retreat in Alabama, it was highlighted that St. Louis de Montfort wrote (in quantity and length) as many Hymns and Songs as he did his spiritual teachings and writings. St. Louis de Montfort, within his writings, reflected and meditated on the Mysteries. In this audio, Fr. Hugh continues, that he translated Fr. de Montfort’s reflections on the Sorrowful Mysteries, and incorporates them into the Rosary said at the retreat. It is as close as possible to being able to pray with a Saint.

The audio and prayer provide us with the reflections and meditations of St. Louis de Montfort, and should provide a way (and an example) to influence our own reflections on these Mysteries.

Video #4: Video Name: True Devotion
Video Category: St. Louis de Montfort’s Writings

Video #5: Video Name: Preparation for Consecration (Gray Book)
Video Category: Consecration Videos
Description: This video series is to be used in tandem with performing the 33 day spiritual readings and exercises outlined in the Gray Book. The 33 day period is broken into two movements. The first is Emptying One Self of the Spirit of the World. The second is Filling oneself with the Spirit of Our Lord Jesus. This is accomplished in three steps: Knowledge of Self, Knowledge of Mary and Knowledge of Jesus. In this series it is explained as to what this means and how it influences the Preparation for Consecration.

Video #6: Video Name: Living Total Consecration
Video Category: Consecration Videos

Video #14: Video Name: Preparing for Perfect Devotion to Mary
Video Category: Other Videos
Description: During Easter the priests and brothers of the Montfortian General Delegation of the Philippines along with sisters of the Daughters of Wisdom gathered for a 5-day retreat on the spirituality of St. Louis de Montfort. One of the topics during the retreat was Preparing for Perfect Devotion.

Because there are in excess of eighty videos initially available, covering 14 titles, we have divided the videos into four categories – St. Louis de Montfort’s Writings, Consecration Videos, Videos in Spanish, and Other Videos.

When the Video page is selected from the menu, an image for each of the video categories will appear (similar in style to the above images). Within each video category, there are numerous video titles that are then possible to select. A description for most videos will appear on the page, along with some instructions on navigating the video series. The list of videos in this initial release appears above. Please review them and visit the sections to further explore these treasures.

How do I know if what I am doing in my spiritual life is correct? What do I do before making my Act of Total Consecration? What’s next, after making my Total Consecration? All of these questions and more are common to all who practice a Spiritual Prayer Life. Everyone’s journey is slightly different, because we are all at different stages in our Spiritual Journey.

The last area of this multimedia section is the Spiritual Journey page. Here, we recommend the sequence to view and listen to all of the media. There is no right or wrong way to go about navigating the multimedia, but the recommended way is outlined on this page. Links are provided to go directly to the audio or video outlined in the Spiritual Journey.

We hope you take advantage of this new multimedia section of the website. Again, it will be updated periodically and we will send a reminder email when they are posted. We also hope you take the three question survey that appears at the bottom of each Spiritual Insight page. It should take less than a minute and it will provide the Association with some feedback on these Spiritual Insights and help us with future content.

May our powerful patron, the Holy Virgin Mary, Queen of All Hearts continue to strengthen and sustain you, and obtain for you an ever-greater participation in the life of Jesus, her Son.
