Moving Beyond What We Ask Jesus For (What We Want) to Concentrate on What Jesus Wants For Us!

Moving Beyond What We Ask Jesus For (What We Want) to Concentrate on What Jesus Wants For Us!
There is a reason for everything we do. When we go to Mass, we come praying to God for (perhaps) the grace of healing, for the grace to get a job, or many other things.
In today’s Gospel we hear about many people coming to Jesus for different reasons. We also hear that Jesus cured them all. There is a reason for everything. Why are the people going to Jesus?
That same question can apply to us! Why do we go to Jesus? We hear about some of the reasons we may go to Him in the Homily. The reasons are not bad. They are actually good, because Jesus wants to give us what we ask.
But, Jesus also invites us to move beyond what we want and concentrate on Who He Is.
