Jesus’ Relatives Think He Is Out Of His Mind!

His relatives think He is out of His mind.

Wow, that is a shocking sentence from scripture! Shocking, yet beautiful! Hidden within the scripture, we see that His family members recognize something that we all too often forget!

After two thousand years, and after hearing the Gospel proclaimed many times, we can take Jesus for granted. We often miss something, despite the wonderous things the Lord has done for each of us.

Wonderous, puzzling and strange the greatness of Christ really is! We often reduce Jesus to someone like us, but better. Yet, despite Jesus being like us, He is also divine. Therefore, He is fundamentally different from us too!

Why does Jesus’ family say that He is out of His mind? Because of what Jesus is doing, and the consequences of what He does!
