You Know the Way! How Does This Statement from Jesus Impact Our Spiritual Life?

There  are some Gospels that are difficult to understand what Jesus is saying.

In today’s Gospel, during His speaking to His disciples, Jesus says . . . why don’t you understand? At times it may seem it is a simple message . . . but only for Jesus and not His disciples!

Today’s interchange between Jesus and His disciples there are a number of powerful truths. The conversation takes place at the Last Supper. Jesus is about to lay down His life . . . for our salvation. And He speaks of going away and their (the disciples’) inability to follow after Him . . . right now! He tells them and us . . . Jesus tells His disciples . . . and us . . . to put your faith in Him. Jesus is going away to prepare a place . . . for you! Wow! For you! But you cannot follow now. Why? Jesus tells His disciples that their hearts are not ready for all of this! They are not ready to follow Him . . . yet . . . to Heaven.
