Montfort’s Spirituality: How Different is it from Other Consecrations to Mary?
Here are some of the differences you might find. First of all, by the Montfort Consecration you really give yourself entirely to Jesus Through Mary. You give all that you are and all that you have. Most other Consecrations merely place you under Mary’s protection.
Secondly, by this consecration, you give everything to Mary and to Jesus through her, even to the value of all your good actions so that Jesus and Mary may dispose of them as they see fit, for God’s greater glory and the greater good of your neighbor.
Finally, this consecration makes you give yourself to Jesus Through Mary forever and not for a limited time only.
Of course, these are only a few of the differences that differentiate the Montfort Consecration from other forms of consecration to Mary.
