Frank Duff’s vision for the Legion of Mary, through the use of prayer and apostolic works, he wanted the Legion to help the Church bring all souls to Jesus through Mary.
On October 16-th, the Legion of Mary celebrates its 90-th Anniversary on Long Island.
For All Legion Members on Long Island: Please join us in this special Legion of Mary Celebration at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Island.
On October 16-th, from 11-4 PM., the celebration will begin with the Holy Rosary. Mass will follow. Additionally, a conference will be held appropriate for the day, followed by the Presentation of Long Island Legions’ Marian Art (Please bring your statues and / or Banners).
If interested in attending please call the Shrine’s office to register. Again, bring your banner and Pilgrim statue for home visits with you, if you have one. Please give the name of your praesidium when registering. The brochure appears below.
