All Generations Shall Call Me Blessed

. . . Shall Call Me Blessed
T he magazine Queen of All Hearts saw the light of day, in May of 1950, three years after the Canonization of St. Louis Marie de Montfort. The purpose of the magazine was, and still is to establish the Reign of Christ with and through Mary. As St. Louis Marie de Montfort so clearly writes at the very beginning of his book “True Devotion To Mary”; “It is through the Blessed Virgin Mary that Jesus Christ came into the world, and it is also through her that He must reign in the world.”
Lest anyone think that the above declaration is a non-sequitur, our Saint begins by reminding us that, of herself, Mary being “a mere creature fashioned by the hands of God is, compared to his infinite majesty, less than an atom, or rather, is simply nothing, since he alone can say; “I am he who is”. (Ex. 3:14). Consequently God, who is ever independent and self-sufficient, never had and does not now have any absolute need of the Blessed Virgin for the accomplishment of his will and the manifestation of his glory . . . (T.D. #14).
“However, I declare that, considering things as they are, because God has decided to begin and accomplish his greatest works through the Blessed Virgin Mary ever since he created her, we can safely believe that he will not change his plan in the time to come, for he is God and therefore does not change in his thoughts or his way of acting”. (T.D. #15).
Through Mary, In Mary, By Mary
“God the Father gave his only Son to the world only through Mary – God the Son became man for our salvation but only in Mary and through Mary . . . God the Holy Spirit formed Jesus Christ in Mary but only after having asked her consent through one of the Chief ministers of his court . . ”
From the very beginning of his book “True Devotion To Mary, ” St. Louis de Montfort is laying the theological and biblical foundations of what he later calls “true and perfect devotion to Mary.” And what could be more solid as a foundation than the example of the Blessed Trinity Itself? Pope John Paul II himself has stressed this Trinitarian aspect of Montfort’s True Devotion to Mary several times in his writings.
In his recent book, “Gift and Mystery,” (published by Doubleday, for the 50th Anniversary of his priesthood) he refers to St. Louis de Montfort as “an outstanding theologian . . His Mariological thought is rooted in the mystery of the Trinity and in the truth of the Incarnation of the Word of God” (P. 429).
The role that the Blessed Trinity has planned for Mary, from all eternity, in the Mystery of our Redemption, is now unfolding each day in her part in the sanctification of souls, as our spiritual mother and Queen of All Hearts. To quote St. Louis de Montfort; “the plan adopted by the three persons of the Blessed Trinity in the Incarnation, the First Coming of Jesus Christ, is adhered to each day in an invisible manner throughout the Church and they will pursue it to the end of time until the last Coming of Jesus Christ.”

One of the Ways to help bring about the Reign of Jesus through Mary in our world is to make Mary better known, better loved and better served. That is why St. Louis de Montfort wrote: “God wishes to reveal Mary, his masterpiece and make her more known in these latter times”.

God’s Grace and Mary
“God the Father . . . gathered all his graces together and called them Mary . . . God the Son . . . made her the treasurer of all his Father had given him as heritage . . . and God the Holy Spirit entrusted his wondrous gifts to Mary, his faithful spouse and
chose her as the dispenser of all he possesses, so that she distributes all his gifts and graces to whom she wills No heavenly gift is given to men which does not pass through her virginal hands”. (T.D. 423-25).

Through the ages, the Saints have said, De Maria Numquam Satis, of Mary we can never say enough. Let’s remember that it is God himself who has placed the humble Virgin Mary on a pedestal, not the Church. Let no one dare bring her down from it. For 50 years the Queen of All Hearts magazine has endeavored to sing with Mary; “the Lord has done great things for me and holy is his name!”
