Q&A: I would so like to make the consecration as taught by Saint Louis de Montfort. However I am a single parent and far from being holy. How good a Catholic must one be to make the Total Consecration?

It would be an invasion of your privacy for us to print your entire beautiful email. It appears that you are ready to make your consecration NOW! If you wait until you are a saint, then you may never make it. If Saint Louis de Montfort postponed the profession of his consecration and the living of it until he were “holy enough,” he too would never have made the consecration.
The point is, the consecration is made for us sinners! All of us are to renew our baptismal vows. All of us are to enjoy the loving union with Jesus and Mary which is so intensified by the consecration. Don’t delay. The consecration is for those who are seriously striving to live their baptism in spite of the difficulties of the world. And if we do fail, then we quickly confide ourselves once again to the care of Mary and filled with God’s loving forgiveness, earnestly aim to deepen our consecration life.
