God So Loves the World … He Gave Us His Only Begotten Son

God So Loves the World …
G od So Loved the World … He Gave His Only Begotten Son … So Everyone Who Believes in Him Might Not Perish, and Will Have Eternal Life
The statement: God So Loved the World is one of the most recited passages in and outside our parishes. Because we hear this phrase often, the temptation is not to meditate on it…to not appreciate it.
God does indeed love us. He does indeed meet us where we are … spirituality. But in loving us He does not want us to stay where we are spirituality. He wants to help us grow spirituality. One should not just focus on the part passage of the passage…God So Loved the World. Yes, that is true, but we need to understand that passage in context with the remainder of the passage… So that Everyone Who Believes in Him Might Not Perish, But Might Have Eternal Life!
Without Jesus, we are lost and not saved. God loves us. Ever since we have turned our backs on the Lord at the time of Adam and Eve. They took the relationship with the Lord for granted; Israel did the same, and if we are not careful we Christians also do the same.
God gave us a great gift. The gift of Light … the gift of Jesus. And He gave us this gift out of love and for our salvation. Hear more about the full meaning of this Gospel passage in this audio.

This image is of the Trinitarian Mystery. Note: The Son is made in the image of the Father, so the Father and Son look alike. The Son sits at the right hand of the Father. Both are holding the World, the Children of God the Father. The Holy Spirit’s wings touches the mouth of both the Son and the Father as they speak the Word of God.
