The entrance to the Queen of All Hearts space at the Montfort Center is now adorned with a number of new pieces of art. Among them are two panels which are reproductions of an original set painted by the great Dominican artist Fra Angelico. These pieces in depicting the Archangel Gabriel and the Most Holy Virgin, present the viewer with the great Mystery of the Incarnation of Lord, that same Mystery which St. Louis de Montfort insists is THE principal Mystery of the perfect devotion to Our Lady and the very basis of the Act of Total Consecration.
Each day upon entering our administrative space, we are presented with these striking reminders of the unspeakably great humility of God who lays aside the mantle of his glory to be clothed in the raiment of our weakness, and of the marvelous grandeur of the humble Virgin who in her smallness is yet more expansive than the heavens in containing within her that One that the heavens themselves cannot enclose.
And the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us, and we saw his glory, the glory as of the Father’s only Son, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)
