All these were persevering with one mind in prayer with the women,
and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren. (Acts 1:14)
Obedient and loving submission to the action of the Holy Spirit in our lives is one of the great fruits that the spirituality of St. Louis de Montfort produces in those who practice it faithfully. Recognizing that as Fr. de Montfort so powerfully expresses, “When the Holy Spirit, her spouse, finds Mary in a soul, he hastens there and enters fully into it. He gives himself generously to that soul according to the place it has given to his spouse,” (TD #36) the Association finds it very important for its members to unite even more intensely with Our Lady during the days of the Pentecost Novena when we call out for a renewed outpouring of the gifts and graces of the Holy Spirit in our hearts and upon the entire Church.
The Booklet of Novena Prayers is available below as well as an audio reflection on the importance of the Pentecost Novena that was given at a recent meeting of our Legion of Mary praesidium.
The Regina Cordium Praesidum has just made available another allocutio (brief spiritual reflection) from their weekly meetings. This allocutio looks at the deep spiritual connection between the Legion Promise which is like and act of Consecration and the mystery of the Annunciation.

Our Legion of Mary Praesidium, Regina Cordium, has begun the process of recording the allocutios (brief spiritual reflections) given at their weekly meetings and making them available online to those who would like to deepen their devotion to Our Lady. The first recording has just been uploaded and can be found on the Regina Cordium website.
We would like to extend our thanks to the members of the Regina Cordium Praesidium of the Legion of Mary for arranging to have the large statue of Our Lady of Grace that adorns our offices restored to its original beauty. The restoration work has been very well done and Our Lady’s image was prayerfully received and adorned with a May crown of flowers upon her arrival.
The Servant of God, Frank Duff, who founded the Legion of Mary spoke openly of the great spiritual treasure that he discovered in the spirituality of St. Louis de Montfort and especially in Fr. de Montfort’s master work, The Treatise Upon True Devotion to the Holy Virgin.
Mr. Duff’s living out of this spirituality bore great fruit in the foundation of the Legion of Mary through which one might well say that this great Catholic’s own Act of Total Consecration has managed to leave its imprint on nearly every corner of the world.
Frank Duff was enrolled as a member of the Confraternity of Mary, Queen of All Hearts, (the former name of the Association) on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, December 8, 1921.
Below is a scan of his enrollment certificate:
Several decades ago, the Servant of God Frank Duff, the founder of the Legion of Mary, paid a visit to Fr. Roger Charest, SMM, and the other Montfort priests here at the Center for the Association. During that visit recordings were made of the two conferences that Mr. Duff gave. These tapes rested quietly among other materials here for a very long time before being rediscovered.
Thanks to the labor of Fr. Pete D’Abele, SMM, the audio from the cassettes has been digitized. Our local praesidium of the Legion of Mary – Regina Cordium – has made these important audio files available on its website.
On January 8, 2014, the Regina Cordium Praesidium of the Legion of Mary was founded here at the Center for the Association of Mary, Queen of All Hearts. As the name of the praesidium implies, it will be closely associated with our work of promoting the reign of Jesus through Mary. Members of the new praesidium have already gotten very involved in our work both in helping to organize and promote our monthly Rosary and Mass and in taking care of the inscription of new members into our membership rolls.
There is a long history of cooperation between the Legion and the Association here in the United States as our original moderator, Fr. Roger Charest, SMM, labored many years to help establish and support the Legion of Mary in many dioceses around the country. We are delighted to reestablish a close working relationship and look forward to a fruitful collaboration as we work together beneath the banner and protection of Our Lady.
